A WOMAN who shone a laser pen into the cockpit of the Surrey Police helicopter as it flew 1,000ft in the air above Staines has been handed a six-month suspended jail sentence. The court heard that the police helicopter was responding to a call-out in the Staines area just before midnight on August 10 when a powerful green light filled the cockpit.
