Uniflight
18 Feb, 10Uniflight, LLC, a leading Bell Helicopter Customer Service Facility (CSF) and American Eurocopter Customer Service Center, has launched new operations to serve fleet operators in the Northeastern United States from its location at Reading Regional Airport (RDG). A division of Uniflight, LLC, the new operations will do business as “Uniflight Northeast.” The location in Reading establishes a strategic partnership with premier biz-jet class FBO, fixed wing charter operator, and fleet manager Millennium Aviation. In addition, rotorcraft veteran Steve Weinert has joined Uniflight Northeast to become Director of Maintenance.
Joseph Hawke, Chairman of Uniflight, stated, “We set our sights on establishing Northeastern U.S. operations ever since the initial acquisition of Uniflight, now almost two years ago. After considering numerous different possibilities, we decided that Reading was the best possible location from which to serve the MRO requirements of this region's rotorcraft fleet. We greatly appreciate the opportunity to partner with Millennium, which shares Uniflight's culture of customer service.”
Uniflight Northeast is actively bidding on new business for the Reading location and is also seeking technical talent, especially factory trained mechanics with experience on Eurocopter's twin engine models of aircraft (EC135, EC145, BK117, BO105 and AS365) as well as Bell 407 and 430.
James Loftin, President of Uniflight, added, “The Northeast represents a terrific opportunity to extend the reach of the Uniflight brand, as it represents one of the single largest concentrations of turbine engine rotorcraft, not only in the country, but also in the world. We are committed to going to the places that the market indicates there is a need, and from everything we can tell, the timing for a new Northeast service center is certainly opportune.”
Peter Knight, President of Millennium Aviation, noted, “The community needs the services that Uniflight can provide. Millennium has always been supportive of all fleet operations in its region. We truly appreciate that now helicopter operators will have even more reason to land on our ramp here in Reading.”
