MONOC Mobile Health Services is pleased to announce that they have just taken receipt of their new MedEvac helicopter. The helicopter is a new Eurocopter EC135 specially outfitted for medical missions. The helicopter used by MONOC is flown by experienced pilots with over 3,000 hours of flight time. The medical team is staffed by a certified flight RN and a certified flight paramedic.

MONOC’s MedEvac, MONOC-One, became operational in April of 2006 and flies out of Miller Air Park in Berkley Township. MONOC One provides both inter-hospital medical transportation of critically ill or injured patients as well as emergency on-scene response for serious trauma incidents. The MedEvac program is one of several services provided to, and on behalf of, MONO ‘s 15 member hospitals.

“Above all else, safety is our first concern,” says MONOC’s President and CEO Vince Robbins. For this purposes, the aircraft is outfitted with the latest safety technology. It has dual engines and is equipped with instrument flight rule capability, night vision goggles, aircraft collision avoidance system, state of the art navigation system, autopilot and color radar.
