3 Nov, 10Bloomberg are today reporting that the Italian Air Force has ordered 10 SAR AW139s and 12 Combat AW101s, quoting unnamed people close to the company. THe order is valued at about 1.2 billion euros ($1.7 billion). The finances were approved on 13th October by the Italian Senate's Defence Committee, accoridng to the Italian Government's website.
AgustaWestland and parent company Finmeccanica have so far not commented on this order.
