MedEvac Foundation International re-elects Kevin Hutton as Chairperson

The board of directors of MedEvac Foundation International have elected Kevin Hutton MD, FACEP, of San Diego, CA, to serve a fifth one-year term as chair of the organization following the Foundation’s 2010-2011 elections. Dr. Hutton and other board officers were elected during the recent Air Medical Transport Conference (AMTC) in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Dr. Hutton is the chief executive officer, founder, and chair of Golden Hour Data Systems, a San Diego-based information system and revenue management company that supports emergency medical transport operations and financial management. He is also a practicing attending emergency physician at two level-one trauma centers in San Diego.

The other 2010-2011 MedEvac Foundation International board-elected officers are vice chair – Linda Powell, ICD.D, B.Sc.PT, vice president, governance and external affairs, Shock Trauma Air Rescue Society, Calgary, Alberta, Canada; treasurer – Johnny Delgado, MBA, EMT-P, CMTE, director/chief, AtlantiCare EMS, Brigantine, NJ; and secretary –Russell MacDonald, MD, MPH, FRCPC, medical director, research and development, Ornge, Ontario, Canada.

In addition to Delgado, new MedEvac Foundation International board members for 2010-2012 include Rod Crane, president and chief executive officer, MedFlight, Columbus, Ohio; and Stephen Thomas, MD, MPH, George Kaiser Family Foundation, and professor and chair, University of Oklahoma School of Community Medicine, Tulsa, OK.

Reelected MedEvac Foundation International board members include Ian Badham, BSc, OAM, director, NRMA CareFlight, Westmead, New South Wales, Australia; Joan Black, CFRE, president, Black Fund Development, Inc., Calgary, Alberta, Canada; Dustin Duncan, RN, CEN, CMTE, program director, AirLink Critical Care Transport, Bend, OR; Connie Eastlee, RN, MS, CMTE, vice president, program operations, Med-Trans Corporation, Lewisville, TX; and Stephen Elwell, PhD, co-founder, End/Start Consulting, Philadelphia, PA.
