26 Jan, 11French manufacturer Helicopteres Guimbal is preparing to deliver the first Cabri G2 into the Australian market. Bankstown-based HTT (Helicopter Transport and Training) has two on order following the November 2010 type approval by CASA (see certificate here). We await with interest how the Cabri performs for this operator, who is well versed in flying the Robinson R22 and R44 - clearly the Cabri invites comparison with the R22
The first of the pair is the 20th off the Guimbal production line, and is painted as VH-ZZT - although checking on the CASA website when writing this piece shows it is not yet an official registration. It's bright yellow colour will not be missed in the New South Wales skyline!
