DRF has announced that it’s Dortmund base has recently changed callsign to “Christoph Dortmund” with agreement of the local police and fire/rescue services.  All public safety radio communciations will now use this new tag.  The Dortmund EMS base flies a Eurocopter BK117, operated by HSD for the Federal Ministry of the Interior.  The BK117 is on call for intensive care transport throughout the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia, and is operational from 08:00 to dusk.
