As Long Run raced towards the finish line to win the Cheltenham Gold Cup, PremiAir, the award-winning UK-based executive helicopter and corporate jet charter operator, was preparing to wrap up an extremely busy flying schedule last week.  Each aircraft in the company’s executive charter fleet flew every day from locations in the UK and throughout Europe.  The fleet, which currently comprises 12 executive helicopters and three jets, will be further boosted by an additional Learjet 45 joining the managed fixed-wing fleet from May.

The company flew race-goers to and from the Cheltenham Festival direct to the heliport located beside the racecourse.  Its modern fleet of Sikorsky S76s and Eurocopter Twin Squirrels, carried passengers from Denham Aerodrome, the London Heliport, Oxford Airport and several private addresses in the south of England.  PremiAir’s first-class service provides quality every inch of the way, with luxurious accommodation in all-club class seats with plenty of room for hats, hat boxes and a well-stocked bar.

The Cheltenham National Hunt Festival marks the start of the 2011 corporate hospitality season and as the country emerges from recession, PremiAir is looking forward to a busy summer season. Bookings for Royal Ascot in June are gaining momentum while interest is high for Goodwood’s Festival of Speed that same month and for The Revival in September.  “The British Grand Prix at Silverstone in July is proving especially popular and PremiAir has already sold 95% of its capacity for the Sunday,” says Neil Gibson, Director of Charter & Management at PremiAir.

PremiAir is partnering with ‘The Open Championship Official Hospitality’ to provide helicopter transfers to and from Royal St. George’s, Sandwich for the Open Golf Championship in July.  Helicopter transfers are available from a range of locations around the UK. Typical flight times are just 30 minutes from the London Heliport at Battersea, or 25 minutes from London Biggin Hill Airport, where PremiAir will be offering a unique ‘Park-and-Fly’ facility. Prices start from £450 per person, with specific quotations and alternative departure points available on request.  Customers also have the opportunity to combine helicopter transfers with outstanding hospitality packages, including dining at the Hospitality Village, The Prestige Clubhouse or at one of the exquisite restaurants in the area.

PremiAir’s corporate jet charter and management division enjoyed an equally busy week with its Learjet 45s and Beechcraft Premier I flying every day to and from locations all over the UK and Europe.
