Sikorsky awarded $7M to refurbish two Egyptian helicopters

Sikorsky Aircraft Corp., Stratford, Conn., was awarded on March 18 a $7,187,311 firm-fixed-price, time-and-materials contract.  The award will provide for the refurbishment of two Egyptian aircraft plus the procurement of all spares associated with these aircraft.  Work will be performed in Stratford, Conn., with an estimated completion date of March 31, 2012.  One bid was solicited with one bid received.  The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (W58RGZ-08-C-0118).
