Franch operator Heli Horizon has launched an iPhone app “Helicopter Checklist” which they hope will be an indispensable assistant for pilots.  The app has pref-flight check lists, separated out into Pre-flight, Before Starting, Start Engine and Stop Engine.

The “basic version” (their description, not HeliHub’s) includes four checklists for R22 R44 helicopters EC120 and AS 350 (the four helicopter types Heli Horizon operate).  While there is evident use for this app, the limited number of helicopter types covered make this app rather limited.  It would be sensible to add S300, MD500, B206, B407, B212, UH-1 and AW109 at least

The app, was officially released on Friday 15th April in version 1.0, and is 2.8MB in size.  It is available in French and English at a price in mainland Europe of €7.99 or in the UK AppStore at £5.99
