Liberty Helicopters, operator of the largest helicopter sightseeing and charter fleet in metropolitan New York, is moving to the new Helo Holdings Inc. (HHI) Heliport at Kearny, New Jersey, beginning today, April 26th.

Liberty is bringing eight helicopters to the new facility as well as its corporate administration, accounting and maintenance functions.

Chris Vellios, Chief Operating Officer of Liberty Helicopters said, “We are delighted to be moving to the new HHI heliport facility at Kearny. It gives us the opportunity to be closer to both our sightseeing and charter client base in Manhattan, in a brand new facility located just off Exit 15E of the New Jersey Turnpike, with nearly instant ingress and egress over the Passaic River.”

Liberty joins HHI investor, the Analar Corporation, who recently relocated five helicopters to the Kearny heliport.

The Analar Corporation, an ARGUS “Gold” quality designated company, has signed an agreement to bring five of its twin turbine helicopters now located in Princeton, New Jersey, to the new Helo Holdings Inc. Heliport at Kearny, New Jersey. Analar joins Liberty Helicopters, the New York metropolitan area’s largest helicopter sightseeing company, in making the move to the strategically located HHI Heliport. Analar is engaged in helicopter charters, fractional ownership, helicopter management, maintenance, consulting and sales in the New York City area.  Analar holds a Part 135 Certificate from the Federal Aviation Administration and has been engaged in these lines of business for over 27 years.  Analar has flown more than four million miles and 120,000 passengers in its long history.

Mike Renz, the Owner and President of Analar said, “We are very pleased to be moving to the new HHI facility just as the peak helicopter season begins. The HHI Heliport at Kearny is 14 minutes closer to Manhattan than our current location in Princeton – and the combination of ferry cost savings and a long term fuel contract convinced us that now is the right time to make the move.”

In December 2010, Helo Holdings Inc. opened the first new commercial heliport in metropolitan New York in more than 30 years – aimed squarely at the turbine helicopter community. The seven acre “Helicopter-Only” Fixed Base of Operations (FBO), is located in Kearny, New Jersey at 165 Western Avenue (just one half mile from exit 15E off of the New Jersey Turnpike) and is just 2 minutes flying time from Manhattan. It offers 28,000 sq. ft. of hangar space, nearly 10,000 sq. ft. of lease-able hangar and administrative offices, ample landing and parking (up to 12 outdoor helicopter parking spaces), full Maintenance services, a pilot friendly amenities building and a 24,000 gallon fuel facility with two “hot” refueling pads.  All within 2 minutes flying time of Manhattan.
