EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency) certified the Arriel 2D Turbomeca (Safran group) whose take-off power of 950 shp.

The Arriel 2D single-engine helicopter will power the Eurocopter AS350 B3e. The commissioning of the first engine is expected in the second half of 2011.

Low operating costs

The Arriel 2D offers the benefits of new technologies (new axial compressor blades of new material … etc..) Integrated with a proven engine for many years. This new engine offers improved performance and reduced specific fuel consumption resulting in lower operating costs.

Its modular design combined with an increase in TBO (Time Between Overhaul), up to 4000 hours from the entry into service and 6000 hours at maturity, allow easy maintenance at lower cost.

Reliability

The regulation of Arriel 2D is provided by a dual channel FADEC new generation equipment reference to effective regulation, a reduced load Working for the pilot, as well as increased security.
With the new data logger engine, the maintenance concept early now takes precedence over the traditional maintenance. These innovations also reduce significantly the number of unscheduled removals and improve the availability of the helicopter.

High Performance

The increased thermal power and new design several components improve the already high performance engine and confirm that the Arriel remains the most reliable engine in its class.

The family engines Arriel based on solid experience of 10 000 engines delivered, totaling over 32 million flight hours to 430 customers in 60 countries.
