Guardian Mobility has signed a teaming agreement with California-based The Trend Group. The Trend Group, a leading provider of gas turbine engine trend monitoring analysis services, will team with Guardian Mobility to provide their mutual customers with an ability to automatically track the performance of installed aircraft engines.

Engine Trend Monitoring (ETM) allows an aircraft operator to monitor engine performance to maintain peak operating efficiency and plan better for overhauls. The Guardian solution automates the previous manual data collection process using its Flight Data Monitoring (FDM) system and real-time communication network. Further, the Guardian solution gathers much more data allowing a more thorough analysis.

“Our combined solution creates exceptional value for our customers, at a time when optimizing every dollar in their aircraft is critical ” says Howard Pearl, Guardian Mobility’s President and CEO. “The Trend Group is approved by a number of engine manufacturers to provide trend monitoring and analysis service to operators who cannot justify the in-house expertise to do this critical maintenance process themselves,” he adds.

“Aircraft operators pay hundreds of thousands of dollars for an engine,” says Pearl “We teamed up with The Trend Group to give fleet operators with an installed Guardian Mobility system an automated and seamlessly way to track engine performance, protecting their investments“
Dale Taunton, President and CEO of The Trend Group echoes Pearl’s sentiment. “We are delighted to team with Guardian so that we can automate and expand our analytics services The combination of Guardian’s airborne system and network solution fully automates a traditionally manual process—making engine safety both easier and more affordable.”
