New Vietnamese operator Vinacopter will start operations by the end of October in what is believed to be the country’s first private helicopter service. Despite the claims of other companies to be the first in the air, it appears that others have been non-starters.

Vinacopter is working with Vietnam Air Service Company (VASCO) under Vietnam Airlines Corporation, and is based at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City.  The company’s first helicopter is a Eurocopter AS350 leased from French operator Azur Helicopter Company
