The subject of the planning application for the future of Penzance Heliport was put back at today’s meeting of the Strategic Planning Committee of Cornwall Council. It is not known whether this item will be scheduled for their next meeting on 20th October, or an additional meeting on 6th October which has been convened at short notice, due to the large volume of planning applications at the present time. The agendas have not yet been published for either meeting.
Scilly Today website quotes Managing Director of BIH, Tony Jones, saying that this change of date would not directly impact plans for St Erth although it may mean they start operating from the new site later than originally planned.
