Apache is last one standing in Indian tender

Russian press agency RIA Novosti is reporting that the Mi-28N Night Hunder has lost an Inidan tender for 22 attack helicopters, leaving Boeing’s AH-64D Apache.  They reported a source saying “We decided not to choose the Mi-28 for technical reasons. Our experts believe that the Mi-28N did not meet the requirements of the tender on 20 positions, while the Apache showed better performance,”.

Given the way that past military tenders have progressed in India, HeliHub.com does not consider that is really the end of the process.  The curve ball would be India’s indigenous attack helicopter which is currently under development – photo below.
