Germany plans drastic cuts in military programs, including NH90 and Tiger which are currently being built by Eurocopter at their Donauworth plant.  While the German military has not released an official statement on this, the Financial Times recently quoted that the reductions would be

  • Airbus A400M reduced from 53 to 40 units
  • Eurofighter Typhoon from 177 to 140
  • NH Industries NH90 from 122 to 80
  • EUrocopter Tiger from 80 to 40

While the NH90 production is not progressing particularly fast, we understand that the 30th Tiger is already nearing completion in the factory, so the halving of that order will affect Donauworth quote soon as lead parts will already be well in progress for ships #31 and onwards
