WPD Helicopter Unit have now registered their first EC135P1 as G-WPDB.  Previously D-HAIT with German EMS operator ADAC, it is expected to be joined by sister ship G-WPDA from the same source within days.  As recently as 22nd November, the helicopter was still in its ADAC yellow scheme at Bonn-Hangelar airport, but it is expected to take up the bright – some say luminous – orange scheme of WPD prior to delivery to the UK.

The helicopters are being prepared by APT (ADAC Luftfahrt Technik), the maintenance and re-sale arm of the German operator
