Flight conditions further rapidly deteriorated and became extremely bad, one of the helicopters had an accident during the flight back to the Germany research ship Polarstern. Fortunately, the passengers were only slightly injured. Instant support could be given by the other helicopter team, which at the same time had a hard but safe landing
