A private investor is putting up the money for a helipad which can be used by Ukranian President Viktor Yanukovych in the city’s Park Alley.

The head of the Kiev City State Administration, Oleksandr Popov, declined to identify the investor behind land owner Amadeus Co, and nor would he be drawn on what other aspects there were to the deal.  Recent press speculation in Ukraine has identified the approval for a building on the site without details being made fully public.  The plans do include the construction of a special road from the helipad to Bankova Street, proving the President direct access to his office.
