Uniflight
11 Feb, 12Uniflight, LLC of Grand Prairie, Texas is very pleased to announce the award of a multi-aircraft contract by the US Government for the cockpit upgrade and Night Vision Goggle (NVG)-compatible conversion of MD500 helicopters.
“We are very excited to have been selected for this project,” stated Uniflight’s President David Horton. “We look forward to modernizing and standardizing these aircraft cockpits.”
The cockpits are currently in a variety of configurations. In addition to modernizing and standardizing the cockpits, the project calls for the installation of a NVG-compatible cockpit. The NVG cockpit enhancements will be supplied by Aero Dynamix, Inc.
“We are very pleased to be working on this project, and having the opportunity to perform this work in conjuction with Uniflight is an added bonus,” stated Dennis Trout, General Manager at Aero Dynamix. “Aero Dynamix has identified Uniflight as one of a select few preferred installers in the world. Uniflight has a tremendous amount of experience installing our product and our teams work very well together.”
David Horton added, “One of Uniflight’s great strengths is taking used airframes, designing new cockpits and interiors, installing those items, and returning a ‘better-than-new’ aircraft to the customer. It is truly a joy to see the customers’ reaction when they experience the transformation of their aircraft. We are very excited when delivery day comes.”
The project will be performed and managed at the Uniflight headquarters in Grand Prairie, Texas under the leadership of Uniflight’s Director of Completions, Nathan Word, who stated: “I look forward to working with our customer, and, as always, it is a pleasure to work with the group at Aero Dynamix. One of the benefits of working a complete project like this is the daily interaction that we have with our customer. We want to make sure that everything is going as the customer expects, and a big part of my job is to be available for consultation. We want to make sure our customers get exactly what they want, and in order to make that happen, we must be accessible and proactive in our communications.”
