Uniflight
12 Feb, 12Uniflight, LLC of Grand Prairie, Texas is extremely pleased to announce that it has been awarded a Repair Station certificate by Mexico’s Director General of Civil Aeronautics (DGAC). A team from the DGAC recently visited the Uniflight facility in Grand Prairie and performed a very in-depth inspection of its services and capabilities. After the completion of that inspection, the DGAC determined that Uniflight qualifies for this prestigious certification..
“We are conveniently located for customers performing aviation operations within Mexico,” stated Uniflight President David Horton. “It simply makes sense for us to be able to provide completions, as well as maintenance, repair and overhaul aftermarket support to our fleet operator friends who have aircraft registered in Mexico.”
“Our facility really finds itself in a unique situation,” says Manny Ortiz, Director of Maintenance for Uniflight-Grand Prairie. “We have a team of mechanics that we can send to Mexico on very short notice. We can have a certified aircraft maintenance technician at a customer’s location in Mexico within a few hours due to our proximity to DFW airport. We are less than one fuel load for any helicopter from the Texas / Mexico border. Now that we are licensed by the DGAC, we can perform the work on Mexican registered aircraft, and many of the members of our staff here in Grand Prairie are bilingual. It really feels good to be able to support our Mexican customers when they need us.”
“It is always good to have another set of eyes come in and validate that your facility is doing the right thing,” stated Bruce Whitehead, Director of Quality. “I am relatively new with Uniflight and have been extremely impressed with our capabilities. I am also very pleased that the officials from DGAC see the same excellent level of work performance and professionalism that I have found. I also look forward to being able to support and grow our customer-base in Mexico.”
Spanish speaking customers who are interested in learning more about the capabilities of Uniflight can contact Manny Ortiz via phone at (972) 623-3444
