5 Mar, 12Bond Offshore Helicopters have now registered their third AgustaWestland AW139 with the UK Civil Aviation Authority. G-PERD will join the first pair G-PERA and G-PERB which were acquired in March and May of 2011. The alphabetic sequence was broken due to G-PERC being currently allocated to a Cameron hot air balloon, and the UK CAA does not allow re-use of registrations on any other airframe.
The new aircraft has been leased, and we expect that this is via Era Helicopters in the US. The aircraft has been built on the Philadelphia production line as it carries a manufacturer's serial number starting with a 4 - the full number is 41270. Italian built aircraft are all begin with the digit 3.
