Maverick Helicopters, a leader in the Las Vegas air excursion industry, recently received the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) most prestigious honor for maintenance, the Award of Excellence “Diamond Award.” This achievement signifies the company’s ongoing dedication to maintenance training and aircraft safety.
The FAA’s Award of Excellence was created to honor aviation organizations and their maintenance technicians who participate in the FAA Aviation Maintenance Technician Awards Program, a rigorous program where 100 percent of a company’s eligible maintenance technicians must pass specialized, continuous training in aircraft systems, FAA regulations and human factors over a 12-month period. This past year, Maverick invested more than 1,000 hours of training for their technicians. Participating aviation corporations can earn awards ranging from Gold to the Diamond Award; the Diamond Award is only given to a select few organizations that have reached the highest level of program criteria.

“We are honored to receive this prestigious achievement from the FAA,” said John Buch, president of Maverick Aviation Group. “We are all proud of our exceptional Maintenance Department and their dedication to safety and training. Our customers deserve the best, and with Maverick they receive just that.”
