Embry-Riddle recognises safety record of Universal Helicopters

President’s Safety Day is an annual event recognizing the safety record of the flight department at the Prescott campus. Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University President, Dr. John Johnson, attended the event on February 23, 2012, to present the President’s Award for Outstanding Achievement in Safety. This year’s recipient was Mr. Gordon Jiroux, President and Owner of Universal Helicopters, Incorporated (UHI). UHI is the contractor for providing helicopter training for Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott, Arizona. UHI has provided high quality flight instruction with zero accidents for two years. The College of Aviation is proud to have UHI providing helicopter flight instruction for the Prescott campus.
