Tracy Gandy has joined Dallas Airmotive, a BBA Aviation Engine Repair and Overhaul Group (ERO) company, as Manager of the company’s F1RST SUPPORT™ operations. Gandy will oversee day-to-day operations of the F1RST SUPPORT command center in Grapevine, Texas and field service technicians across the United States.

F1RST SUPPORT is an integrated real-time system that utilizes state-of-the-art technologies to bring together all the functions needed to service an AOG situation. Within minutes of a service call, F1RST SUPPORT creates a plan of action for field service technicians, rental engines, tooling, and mobile response vehicles to get an operator back in the air as quickly as possible.

“Tracy’s 30 year aviation background includes a wide range of leadership roles with OEMs, service companies and the U.S. military, on the shop floor and in program management,” commented Dallas Airmotive Sr. Manager of Field Service, Larry Galarza. “His airframe and engine experience along with his background in managing critical, quick response situations prepares him very well for managing the operations of our AOG response team. He will be a great addition to our F1RST SUPPORT management team.”

Gandy, a licensed A&P/IA, has more than three decades of aviation experience working in the military and with airframe and engine OEMs. Prior to joining Dallas Airmotive he was Program Manager at Consolidated Turbine Service (CTS) in Mesa, Arizona.

Gandy will have a group of engine technical managers reporting to him in the Grapevine F1RST SUPPORT center as well as the U.S.-based field service team positioned around the country.
