Following several successful B to B meeting in the airplane industry, UBIFRANCE – The French Trade Commission  –  will bring a delegation of French suppliers to a major player in the helicopter industry, SIKORSKY AIRCRAFT. Founded in 1925 by Igor Sikorsky, this American aircraft manufacturer currently produces military and commercial aircrafts. SIKORSKY AIRCRAFT is regrouped under parent company UNITED TECHNOLOGIES CORPORATION (owning PRATT & WHITNEY, HAMILTON SUNDSTRAND) and produced $7.4 billions in net sales in 2011 (out of $58.2 billions for UTC). Their fleet ranges from very light 2-seater to a larger 22-seater aircraft. The manufacturer is renowned for building the entire US president helicopter fleet (called Marine One, Air Force One’s equivalent) since 1958.

Thanks to a  close partnership with GIFAS, the French aerospace industries association, UBIFRANCE has been able to introduce to SIKORSKY more than a dozen of companies matching the manufacturer’s specific needs. After a selection by SIKORSKY’s purchase team, the French delegation will have individual B to B meetings with engineers and buyers in Stratford, CT on June 15th . This process ensures both companies to carry out efficient meetings with mutual interest. On the same day, they will also be able to visit the company production line.
