27 Jun, 12UK Coastguard S92 captain Paul Bentley has been demoted after landing in a field on the Island of Orkney in April to pick up meat from a butchers. Mr Bentley had been suspended by operators CHC after the incident came to light after a video was posted on YouTube. Mobile phone footage - which has now been removed from the site - showed two crew getting out of the helicopter and walking over to a group of butchers, who had come out of their shop to hand over the bag of beef.
HeliHub.com understands that Mr Bentley has been demoted to co-pilot status, and another crew member has apparently been told he will not fly with CHC for at least a year. The S92 had landed near Craigie's butchers in the east of mainland Orkney.
