Bell Helicopter, a Textron Inc. company (NYSE: TXT), announced today it has appointed H&P General Aviation Service Co., Ltd. (H&P) in Guangzhou, China as a Bell Helicopter authorized Customer Service Facility (CSF). H&P is authorized to perform field maintenance on Bell 407 aircraft.

“We are pleased to appoint H&P as a Bell Helicopter authorized Customer Service Facility,” said Eric Cardinali, executive vice president, Customer Support and Services for Bell Helicopter. “This agreement expands and strengthens Bell Helicopter’s support and service network and offers our Bell 407 customers in China a more comprehensive support solution.”

Bell Helicopter authorized CSFs must meet rigorous requirements as outlined by Bell Helicopter, including maintaining a staff of Bell Helicopter trained mechanics, retaining tooling and inventory requirements necessary to meet customers’ needs and approval by their local regulatory authority.

“Bell Helicopter has been recognized by its customers as number one in Aviation International News’ Product Support Survey for seven consecutive years and by readers of Professional Pilot magazine for eighteen consecutive years,” said Cardinali. “We will increase our service capabilities in tandem with our fleet. Our partnership with H&P General Aviation helps us accomplish our mission of providing seamless service and support to customers in growing markets such as China.”

“H&P is proud to be named a Bell Helicopter CSF,” said Wilson Liao, general manager, H&P. “H&P has a history of providing quality service and support to Chinese customers and our partnership with Bell Helicopter will further our ability to service customers in the region. With China’s booming general aviation sector, the persistent endeavors of H&P and the consistent quality and support from Bell Helicopter, we are confident there is a promising future for all parties.”

H&P has served as an authorized Propeller Service Facility for Bell Helicopter’s sister company, Cessna Aircraft Co., since July 2010. The company is located at the Guangzhou Civil Aviation College which was recently appointed as a Bell Helicopter authorized maintenance training facility.
