Bob Cox joins American Eurocopter as Senior Manager, Communications and Media Relations

As we reported three days ago (see Star-Telegram’s loss is American Eurocopter’s gain), American Eurocopter have now issued this formal press release

American Eurocopter, the number one commercial helicopter manufacturer in the United States, has named Robert “Bob” Cox as Senior Manager, Communications and Media Relations.

“We are extremely pleased to have Bob join the American Eurocopter communications team,” said Brenda Reuland, Vice President of Communications and Public Relations. “In this position Bob’s background as a highly regarded business reporter, particularly his extensive experience in covering aviation, will serve American Eurocopter very well.”

An award-winning journalist, Cox brings more than 30 years of experience in newspaper business reporting. Most recently he was senior business writer for the Fort Worth Star-Telegram providing aggressive, issues-oriented coverage of the aerospace, aviation and defense industries. He previously covered the aviation industry for the Wichita (Kan.) Eagle.

In his new role, Cox will be responsible for working with the news media, internal and external communications, as well as advertising programs in support of branding and marketing.

Cox earned his BS in Journalism from California Polytechnic State University with graduate studies in history at Wichita State University.
