The first Robinson R44 helicopter has been delivered to the UTair-Engineering MRO facility in Tyumen for capital repairs. The compete inspection and refitting is expected to take 3 months.

In 2012 UTair-Engineering passed the Robinson Helicopter and Russian Aviation Authority MRO performance audits in 2012, qualifying for capital repair operations on R44 helicopters, making UTair-Engineering an authorized service center for Robinson in Russia. Operators of these popular helicopters in Russia are now able to service their rotorcraft here, without the need to deliver them abroad.

The Robinson R44 is a light multipurpose four-seat commercial helicopter manufactured by Robinson Helicopter. It operates with a maximum speed of 240 km/h with a range of 650 km. The helicopter can fly 2,200 flight hours or 12 years between obligatory service repairs.

In 2012 UTair-Engineering was issued certificate AP-145 from the Russian Aviation Authorities for MRO operations on helicopters.

UTair-Engineering is a subsidiary of UTair Aviation and the largest MRO operator for helicopters of domestic and foreign production in Russia. The company has a broad network of more than 30 line stations in Russia and abroad. UTair-Engineering staff services more than 300 aircraft daily, providing full cycle maintenance works on all aircraft in the UTair fleet.
