Following the very sad fatal accident last month, Rotormotion have acquired another helicopter – effectively replacing G-CRST which crashed to the ground in London killing experienced pilot Pete Barnes and one person on the ground after coming into contact with a crane in low visibility. Both helicopters were owned by Cornwall-based Castle Air and leased to Rotormotion, who operate from Redhill Aerodrome.
Rotormotion’s page on Facebook records the arrival of AgustaWestland AW109E G-TRAW in a blue and white scheme, and it carrying out its first commercial flight for the company in the last few days.
Until recently, this helicopter was one of a number being operated by AgustaWestland at their Operational Flying Training Centre at Newquay.
