REBTECH, one the first civil and military aviation night vision lighting providers in the world has announced the initial night vision compatible conversion of an AS350B3 owned and operated by longtime helicopter training provider, HeliStream.  Based in Costa Mesa, California at the John Wayne airport, HeliStream has been offering comprehensive flight training, FAR Part 133, 135, 137 and other specialized helicopter operations since 1982.

REBTECH delivered the FAA supplemental type certificated (STC) equipment as well as integration support from its main offices located in Bedford Texas, a Dallas/Ft. Worth area suburb.  As a component of the cockpit and cabin night vision modification, REBTECH also modified the aircraft external lighting as part of the overall night vision goggle (NVG) compatible STC developed and manufactured by the company.  REBTECH supports a worldwide civil and military aviation night vision client base with specialized lighting for rotorcraft and fixed wing aircraft in varied and diverse mission profiles. The company also offers 24 hour support for lighting equipment and services.

The addition of a NVG compatible lighting both inside and outside of the AS350B3 AStar will allow HeliStream to provide specialized NVG training for both initial pilot transition and recurrent training. HeliStream plans to further equip other model type helicopters to offer additional customer specific training.

REBTECH is a night vision equipment and services provider for the flight training departments of Bell Helicopter, American Eurocopter, Night Flight Concepts, and Mauna Loa Helicopters.
