Not for profit organisations count on donations to further their cause and extend much needed help to the communities they serve. As a non-government funded charity, Wales Air Ambulance (WAA) needs the necessary financial support and selected Unity4, the global home agent contact centre outsourcer and technology provider, to carry out this key function noting its experience in fundraising.

As a major player in not-for-profit fundraising, Unity4 performs regular giving acquisition, upgrades and management, donor acquisition, merchandise sales, reactivations, bequests, and credit card expiry campaigns for the not for profit sector. It helps reach out to occasional supporters to convince them to become regular donors.

WAA engaged Unity4 to promote its efforts in providing critical emergency air cover for people with life-threatening illness or injuries throughout the country. It also aims to encourage the constant support provided by its present donors as well as obtain new benefactors. The charity marked its 12th anniversary last March 1st with the launch of night-flying trials which is part of a series of clinical and technological advances in helping save lives.

“As a non-government funded organisation, WAA relies solely on charitable giving to keep our helicopters flying over Wales. We chose Unity4 because of their outstanding track record in telephone fundraising for the not for profit sector and their experience.” related Angela Hughes, WAA Chief Executive.

The campaign has made significant headway at the onset as Unity4 successfully recruited and trained highly-skilled Welsh-based agents who will be working from their homes. WAA will benefit from Unity4’s dedicated team of local community members who will help raise the needed donations. Unity4 employs 100% home-based agents that produce results for many UK organisations.

“We have recruited and trained a dedicated team of Welsh-based telephone agents, supported by our experienced operator base located right across the UK” he said. “Our Welsh team are talking to the local community, raising donations for a charity that services that community. This project demonstrates how a local person talking to local people delivers results.” said Dan Turner, Unity4 CEO.

Unity4 utilises the cloud-based contact centre software RapportCMS, that allows it to provide superior live monitoring and quality control capabilities, crucial in ensuring the project’s success in every aspect. Its open and transparent approach gives its partners the ability to listen in as the agents make the calls, search and access call recordings, and generate reports such as ROI in real time.
