After collating all the statistics from their operations world-wide, HNZ Global have been celebrating a completely accident free 2012. Flying more than 65,000 hours in mostly specialized ‘niche’ helicopter operations all around the world, the “clean slate” represents a remarkable effort, especially for such a large and diverse organization.

“Operating in both the utility market as well as twin-engine IFR scene, this fantastic result is testament to the company’s strict adherence to safety standards, diligence of operating procedures and continual improvements in new technology aircraft”, spokesman Brenton Davis said from Perth this week. “Here in Australia we are particularly proud, as the majority of our work is in specialised, high-risk operations such as fire-fighting, marine pilot transfer and power line stringing” he added.

Based at Perth Airport for more than 25 years, HNZ lead the way with the new generation AS350B3’s in fire operations more than nine years ago. In their other industry leading role they have again raised the bar on safety by introducing three state-of-the-art AW109 SP’s into their 24 hour a day MPT operations. The helicopters are backed up with strict pilot standards and a fully integrated company Management System to ensure transparency and compliance to all aspects of their work.
