Hillsboro Aviation is hosting an Aircraft Showcase next week featuring some of the leading names in aviation, including Bell Helicopter, Cessna and Garmin. The new Cessna 240 TTx and Cessna Caravan EX as well as Bell Helicopter’s 407 GX featuring the first FAA-certified Garmin G1000H integrated avionics installation in a helicopter will be on display and available for demo flights. In addition to these aircraft, the Robinson R44, Cessna 162 and Lockwood AirCam, a high-wing, twinengine experimental aircraft, will be on static display. One of Cessna’s Discover Flying Challenge program Cessna 172 Skyhawks will also take part in the event during its summer-long excursion around the United States.

In addition to these innovative new aircraft on Hillsboro Aviation’s ramp, the event will offer informational seminars. Garmin will be discussing glass cockpits and navigators and ADSB at daily seminars at 10am and 2pm, respectively. Also, Hillsboro Aviation will be hosting an FAA Safety Team seminar on “Getting the Most Out of Your Glass Cockpit” at noon each day.

“This is a unique opportunity to bring so many new and exciting aircraft to the Pacific Northwest and give people here a chance to see them up close,” said Ryan McCartney, Hillsboro Aviation’s director of sales and service.

The Aircraft Showcase will take place at Hillsboro Aviation at the Hillsboro Airport (KHIO) on Monday, August 19-Wednesday, August 21 from 9am-4:30pm daily.
