PZL-Świdnik SA, an AgustaWestland company, is pleased to announce the latest generation AW149 multipurpose military helicopter will be showcased at Bemowo on Air in Warsaw this weekend (14-15th September). The AW149’s demonstration will conclude the aircraft’s successful tour around Poland following its presentation during the Radom Air Show-2013 and MSPO 2013 in Kielce.

The latest achievement of PZL-Świdnik and AgustaWestland engineering teams, the AW149 has been designed and developed in the last few years. It is a modern military helicopter that meets the most stringent operational requirements in terms of flexibility, performance, security and cost-effectiveness. The AW149, the most modern design offered within the tender for the supply of 70 multirole helicopters for the Polish Armed Forces, features open architecture and high growth potential. Having intellectual property of the so-called source codes, PZL-Świdnik and AgustaWestland, are able to guarantee Poland the broadest capability to modify and customize the helicopter to meet the needs of the Polish Armed Forces in the future.

Since the very beginning, PZL-Świdnik engineers have been actively participating in the AW149 development and will continue to work on the programme. PZL-Świdnik is already responsible for the AW149 fuselage design and production. The first helicopters for the Polish Armed Forces will roll off the final assembly line built in PZL-Świdnik.
