One of Australia’s leading suppliers of mission-critical helicopter services, Australian Helicopters (AHPL), has signed a follow-on two-year strategic alliance with Sunshine Coast based Avincorp for its avionics component repair services.

The alliance strengthens AHPL’s position as Australia’s most reliable mission critical helicopter provider and will see added security and reliability to its fleet in radio and instrument overhaul, avionics installations, EMS equipment, search and rescue systems and night vision imaging systems (NVIS).

AHPL head of engineering, Matthew Spencer, said the company was delighted to continue its alliance with Avincorp.

“Our aircraft operate in some of the harshest and most challenging environments in Australia,” Mr Spencer said.

“As such we are determined to ensure they are equipped with the latest generation systems that deliver the safest, most reliable outcome for our crews and customers.

“This follow-on alliance with Avincorp ensures we will continue to meet this mandate.”

Avincorp managing director, Paul Casley, said the association with AHPL has been of mutual benefit for both companies.

“Our close relationship has meant that projects have run to schedule and we have assisted AHPL to deliver mission critical services within their budgets,” Mr Casley said.

“We are very proud to be an integral part of AHPLs’ growth in the Asia Pacific region.”
