University of Utah AirMed held an opening ceremony yesterday for their new base at Tooele in Utah.  AirMed will be basing a Eurocopter EC145 there now.

University of Utah Healthcare’s Air Medical Transport Team. AirMed was established in 1972 as the 8th air medical transport program in the nation. The University hospital provides services for one of the largest geographic areas of the United States, routinely receiving patients from Utah, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho and Nevada. AirMed provides air medical transport for the majority of these referral patients. AirMed’s main base is The University of Utah Hospital, an academic medical center, a Level I Trauma Center, a Regional Burn Center and a major tertiary referral site. They also have bases located in Ogden Utah, Park City Utah, Payson Utah and Rock Springs Wyoming
