Pentastar Aviation has completed three 600-hour inspections on EC-155 aircraft in a medical configuration. These are the inaugural inspections on EC-155’s used in air medical transport.

The inspections, led by Rotor Wing Maintenance Manager Bryan Clay, were performed by a team of five mechanics, who completed the three EC-155 aircraft inspections in succession. By the third EC-155 inspection, the team had streamlined the process to be completed within two weeks. These three aircraft are currently the only ones of their kind in operation in a medical configuration in the United States.  (Editor note – Don’t be shy, Pentastar, we know it must be  University of Michigan Health System’s Survival Flight)

“The recent EC-155 inspections reflect our dedication to meeting the unique and specific needs of our medical transport customers,” said Greg Schmidt, President & CEO, Pentastar Aviation. “The efficiency, expertise and commitment displayed by Bryan and his team throughout this project are elements that continue to make Pentastar an industry leader,” added Schmidt.
