Vector Aerospace UK (Vector – www.vectoraerospace.com), a leading provider of aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services has been awarded Part 21G accreditation from the European Aviation Safety Agency following an official audit in late December 2013.

The deserved recognition from Europe’s regulatory aviation authority enables the company to perform work pertaining to sheet metal and composite manufacture; welding and machining, and loom manufacturing, a key capability developed by Vector Aerospace UK. The approval, together with the company’s existing catalogue of accreditations, further strengthens Vector Aerospace’s offering to civil customers, this being a sector in which the company has experienced recent growth – whilst enhancing its global reputation as a one-stop-shop for comprehensive aircraft maintenance.

“The approval provides further evidence of our enduring commitment to growth and improvement; principles which have underpinned our historic success as a leading MRO provider”, said Michael Tyrrell, Managing Director, Vector Aerospace UK. “It further strengthens our business offering to global OEMs and marks an overall expansion of our UK business which includes clients across both the civil and military sectors”.

Specific capabilities covered by the accreditation included: CNC machining, folding and routing, in-house metal treatment and testing facilities; specialised modification kit manufacture and the bespoke manufacture of items which are not available for purchase.

“The accreditation marks yet another waypoint progression in Vector Aerospace’s longstanding reputation of excellence in support of defence rotary wing platforms and civil fixed wing aircraft”, said Michael Tyrrell. “Our sheet metal team alone have over 200 years of manufacturing craftsmanship behind them and are experienced at working within high tolerance specifications. Part 21G EASA recognition marks an important stepping stone as we aim to further expand our impressive résumé of Design Organisation Authority accreditations”.
