HNZ Group makes Board appointment

HNZ Group Inc. (TSX: HNZ.A HNZ.B) (the “Corporation”), an international provider of helicopter transportation and related support services, is pleased to announce that Mr.Laurence (“Larry”) Murphy has agreed to join the board of directors of the Corporation (the “Board”).

Mr. Murphy has over 40 years of experience working with international oil and gas and engineering companies, in operational, business development and executive roles. He worked for Nexen Inc. for over 20 years, retiring in 2009 as Executive Vice President, International Oil and Gas, and continued to provide consulting services until mid-2013. Mr. Murphy is currently on the board of directors of Farmgas Community Partners Limited, an Irish company with an emerging biofuels business. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from University College, Dublin, Ireland.

Don Wall, the Corporation’s President and Chief Executive Officer, said “we are pleased to have Mr. Murphy join the Board due to his hands on experience in an industry in which HNZ intends to expand its operations and in markets the Corporation has targeted for international growth”. Larry M. Pollock, Chair of the Board, added “we are excited to have someone of Mr. Murphy’s caliber, reputation and integrity to complement the existing composition of the Board and whose skill set aligns with the ambitions of the Corporation”.

Mr. Murphy will hold office until the annual general meeting of shareholders on May 14, 2014 and will be nominated for election as a director, along with the current five directors, at the annual general meeting.
