Russian Emergencies Ministry adds Ka32 at Crimean port of Sevastopol

[Electronic translation] Helicopter KA-32 Russian Emergencies Ministry entered service Sevastopol garrison and successfully passes the first “battle” of the test.

Sevastopol Russian Emergencies Ministry specialists have developed a plan of prevention and liquidation of emergency situations during the formation of the wildfires in the city of Sevastopol in this year with the use of the Russian Emergencies Ministry aircraft. Already prepared a map on which are marked in the region existing helipads and reservoirs for water intake.
On the territory of Sevastopol are 14 helipads and places that can be used for aerial work for dealing with emergencies. Also in Sevastopol are 10 water sources, adjusted for water extraction by helicopter. Already in the first week of duty helicopter was used in the work.
On 5 June, the first patrols from the air staff of the MES of Russia in the city of Sevastopol area examined in order to detect possible outbreaks of forest fires and mountain rescuers studied the dangerous and difficult places. The next day, June 6, Sevastopol newborn baby needed urgent medical care, the Russian Emergencies Ministry helicopter promptly took him to the Krasnodar surgery.
Ka-32 helicopters based at the airfield “Belbek” and is ready to perform the following tasks: to conduct aerial reconnaissance mountain forest areas to extinguish fires from the air, to conduct rescue work in remote areas, on the water and in the mountains, evacuate victims, as well as delivering humanitarian assistance.
