HeliHub can report that Gulf Helicopters are now flying at least two AW189s, although there has been no confirmation yet from manufacturer AgustaWestland regarding their delivery.  Observers have noted helicopters A7-GAA and A7-GAB flying from Doha in recent days.  It is not clear whether these flights are for revenue, training, local certification or experience building flights by the operator.

We note that the colour scheme used for the AW189s is the same as Gulf Helicopters’ Sikorsky S92s, but different from their AW139s on which AgustaWestlands original computer generated images of a Gulf AW189 were based.
