Bell awarded $14M more for AH-1Z support

Bell Helicopter Textron, Inc., Hurst, Texas, is being awarded a $14,614,573 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract (N61340-14-C-1000) to exercise an option for services in support of the AH-1Z Program. This option includes delivery of one AH-1Z flight training device to Marine Corps Air Station New River, North Carolina. In addition, this option provides for aircraft common operational equipment, provisioned items (spares), associated technical data required for operational and maintenance support, and a three-month initial operational evaluation period. Work will be performed in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma (46 percent); Fort Worth, Texas (33 percent); St. Louis, Missouri (15 percent); and Austin, Texas (6 percent), and is expected to be completed in June 2018. Fiscal 2013 aircraft procurement (Navy) funds in the amount of $14,614,573 are being obligated on this award, all of which will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division, Orlando, Florida, is the contracting activity.
