GE awarded $29M contract for six GE38 engines for CH-53K

General Electric Co., Lynn, Massachusetts, is being awarded a $28,997,331 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract (N00019-13-C-0132) for the procurement of six T408-GE-400 (GE38-1B) System Demonstration Test Article engines in support of the CH-53K helicopter program. Work will be performed in South Windsor, Connecticut (17 percent); Lynn, Massachusetts (15 percent), Evendale, Ohio (12 percent), Munich, Germany (9 percent), Whitehall, Michigan (8 percent), Madisonville, Kentucky (8 percent); Santa Fe Springs, California (5 percent); Park City, Utah (5 percent); Hooksett, New Hampshire (4 percent); Jacksonville, Florida (3 percent); Ft. Wayne, Indiana (3 percent); Houston, Texas (2 percent); Kulpsville, Pennsylvania (2 percent); and various locations within the continental United States (7 percent), and is expected to be completed in January 2017. Fiscal 2015 research, development, test and evaluation (Navy) funds in the amount of $525,000 will be obligated at time of award, none of which will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting activity.
