EagleMed critical care air medical transport company is co-sponsoring an aviation hazards seminar for general aviation pilots and aviation weather enthusiasts scheduled Jan. 23, 2015 in Wichita.

Co-sponsors are the National Weather Service office in Wichita, and the Kansas Army National Guard. The seminar on Convective Weather Effects (thunderstorms and their hazards) will be held 9 am to 4 pm at the Heartland Pre paredness Center, 2808 N. New York St.

The tentative agenda includes various sessions by Federal Aviation Administration, National Weather Service and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration personnel. EagleMed subject matter experts will present on the impact of weather on airplane and helicopter operations and the use of night vision goggles during night air medical helicopter flights.
