AgustaWestland is experiencing a continued expansion of its presence in the European corporate helicopter market with new sales signed recently for four helicopters comprising one GrandNew light twin, two AW169 light intermediate twins and one AW139 intermediate twin helicopter. Deliveries will be completed by 2017.

These latest contracts further expand the leading role played by AgustaWestland in the European executive/corporate helicopter market through its comprehensive range of dedicated products, covering the light twin to intermediate twin categories. The company prides itself for having a 65% market share in the global multi-engine corporate helicopter market with Europe providing a key contribution to this success.

These sales confirm the GrandNew and AW139 as best sellers in their respective categories as well as the growing acceptance of the latest generation AW169 as the first all new light intermediate helicopter launched in the market in nearly 30 years. Over 340 Grand and GrandNew have been sold to customers worldwide so far who have been benefitting from the unmatched performance and enhanced avionics and mission capabilities of the type.

The AW139 is the most successful aircraft in its class with orders for almost 900 units offering the latest certification and safety standards. The AW169 is expected to enter service soon with orders placed by a number of customers for a total of nearly 150 units globally.
