NEMSPA (National EMS Pilots Association) is encouraging all air crews and pilots who operate in the low level environment to attend a one day “Flying in the Wire and Obstruction Environment and Crew Resource Management” seminar on Sunday, October 18, in Long Beach, California.  This highly acclaimed presentation by Robert (Bob) Feerst, of Utilities Aviation Specialists, is being held in conjunction with this year’s Air Medical Transport Conference.

“This is an ideal course for any flight team that operates in the wire environment,” says Kurt Williams, President of NEMSPA, “including air medical, utility, news gathering and law enforcement operators.  Attending this course will shed new light on a very significant threat we deal with on a day to day basis.”

Half of the day will be dedicated to teaching essential elements of CRM as it applies specifically to the wire environment, with the remaining half focusing on wire detection and avoidance.
