CEO agrees with Norsk Luftambulanse board, and resigns

[electronic translation] Syver Leivestad (pictured) resigns as CEO of Norwegian Air Ambulance AS (NLA AS). Chairman Kobberstad been appointed acting CEO until a new CEO is hired. Syver Leivestad continues in another role in the company.

Board of NLA AS and CEO Syver Leivestad have agreed that he will resign as head of the company. Leivestad has led Norwegian Air Ambulance through a period of strong growth. The company won the contract for the operation of all the bases of the national air ambulance service in Denmark, in addition to the contract to operate a new air ambulance base at Evenes.

Syver Leivestad has played an important role in the development of NLA AS and we thank him for his efforts in the five years he has led the company. Now the company into the new phase that requires a different type of leadership skills, but I’m glad that Syver will contribute its expertise in the future, says Kobberstad, chairman / acting CEO.

The Board has initiated the process of finding the right person to lead the company into a new and important phase. The aim is to strengthen the operational organization and the quality of the company further.

The management changes were effective from 31 August 2015.
